Personality:

Atmospheric Pressure is a very distant individual, preferring to stay far, far, far away from any others due to the inconveniences of his talent. Isolated from the rest of the world in a cloud 'castle' far above even the highest pegasus cities, Atmos tends to be quiet and contemplative, prone to quiet mumbling to himself and long, peaceful days where he simply contemplates. Away from it all, Atmos can be himself. However, the closer he descends on his four wings to the populace below, the more irritable, stiff, and imposing he becomes from the volley of thoughts and feelings. Atmospheric doesn't get to pick which thoughts he hears, so long as they are fueled by strong feelings or beliefs, so being around dozens or even hundreds of individuals can make him quite tense simply from the sensory overload. While he can use some magic to 'dull' this talent, doing so is taxing even on his considerable magical reserves.

Generally he descends only at the behest of those who think the most loudly or intensely, signalling just how deep and immense their beliefs and convictions are. Lured in by the intensity, Atmos may choose to seek out and aid the holder of the thought or feeling, so that they might accomplish whatever goal the feeling fuels. This is a double edged sword though, and Atmos does not choose sides as far as good and evil. He might help a young scholar with an insatiable yearning to share some monumental idea that would better Equestria, but he might just as easily help a broken soul whose heart and mind scream with pain and hatred to destroy the objects of their destruction and hurt.

Up until he was a young adult, akin to that of a human in their late teens, Atmospheric Pressure remained by his mother's side in Canterlot, having not grown into his talents quite so much, the thoughts and feelings manifesting only as a somewhat annoying buzzing or ringing. Many residents of Equestria, however, do not realize his existence, for he fled to the clouds long, long ago, before his father was set in stone. While not ageless, his mixed alicorn and draconequus blood have granted him considerable longevity.
